When the Bogdanovs of Legend Ink come to St. Petersburg, Florida, to tattoo at Lucky’s Tattoo Museum, Our visit becomes something far beyond a guest spot—it was a destination experience. Clients get the chance to step away from the everyday and into an atmosphere where art, travel, and tattoo culture comes together. With St. Pete’s sun-soaked streets, creative energy, and laid-back Gulf Coast spirit as the backdrop, each appointment with Legend Ink feels like its own private getaway: a chance to relax, connect with the artists, and return home with a truly personal piece of artwork and a story attached to it.

And that is exactly what happened.

Arielle and Abbey are some of our favorite clients. Not just because their project is fun to work on, but because its one of the few times me and Peter get to match our skills and styles to one another. Taking each of their favorite characters from over the years and playfully adding them to the water color collage they splash around in.

Best of the Best | Soul Herder

Of course we each have our own clients who enjoy whole sessions to themselves rather than getting tattooed together. Including Jordan whose been getting tattoos across the country, and yet still comes back to his Favorite artist Peter for his best work. Making it clear despite his numerous quality tattoos Peter and Legend Ink are a cut above.

This trip they continued a shoulder piece inspired by the gorgeous art of a Magic card brought into a whole new dramatic perspective. As the so named "Soul Herder" goes about his work.

Cover up to Masterpiece | Burning Raven

Starting from a couple of old tattoos including a bad airplane and an odd bit of scripture, me and Luke worked one idea into another using the exact symbology he was always after in his work. amidst our trips to florida it took 4 sessions to finalize the Raven flying over head, and then setting the scripture ablaze like burning bushes from stories of old.

Until finally we finished turning " His crappy tattoo into an awesome piece." - Luke

Starting with the head also gave Logan something big to look forward to. Every session after that we’d sit down, look at what we’d already built, and talk about where the next part of the story was going. That’s the part of long projects I enjoy the most.

Sweet Dreams | The Sand Man

Onto the third session on this Sandman piece mythologizing Patrick's work putting people to sleep for surgery. Going as far as to detail each gran of sand in his artistic dream scape rendering. Peter has some special additions coming next session as well. Bring on the poppies.

While I prepared Vincent's skin journey to jump the gaps between his pieces. Extending maps and compass to storm and symbol, and next time keep an eye out for how all those will connect to each of his shoulder pieces Taking the classic ideas and wrapping them across every muscle he uses to keep his boat, metaphorical and not, afloat.
